Fast tracking it in his Mercedes Benz
He picks up the call on his cell phone
His wife says You gotta coem home now
I need to talk to you alone
He says I'd like to but i'm way to busy
Slince then a voice says I'm dying
The words slow his life in and instant
He crumples broken and crying

It's sad when a love neglected
Comes sharply into focus

She was young and oh so beutiful
All the cars would stop so guys could see her
Her bible's tossed into a dresser
The rosary decorates the rear view mirror
She sneaks out at night she likes to partu
She tried to drive when she could barly see

You know the situation and have experienced some variation of it quite a few times in your life: Somebody are not contacting you though you think that you might reasonably expect them to do so. So what's the reason? There are several possibilities. Here are some of them:

You are simply a less important person in their life than you think. It's not that there is a strong reason for them to not contact you. It's just that there is not a sufficiently interesting reason to actually do so.
A practical reason of whatever kind makes it impossible for them to contact you.
Or less dramatic: Not quite impossible but really difficult.
For the time being their life is filled with so much else that takes their time, energy and attention.
For whatever reason they do simply not want to have any contact with you anymore.
They are punishing you for something and are using silence to do that.
For some reason they think that in the present situation you should take the initiative.
They do want to contact you but feel uncomfortable about doing so.
They actually have contacted you but have done it in a way that you have not noticed.
They have decided that it is best for you that they do not contact you. They believe that they are a complication in your life.

This was a rather long prelude to get to the one point that was my reason to write this post:

I am quite certain that there are some who consciously leave me alone because they believe that this is best for me. They believe that they are - at least for the time being - a complication and a distraction in my life and they don't want to be that. And they expect me to - eventually - understand this.

And I think that I do. Though I may not necessarily agree.
